Mrs. Charlotte R. Taylor was born August 9, 1960 in Jackson, Mississippi to Steve and Alice Mitchell, Jr. She graduated from Murrah High School in 1978. Charlotte accepted Christ at an early age at Shady Grove Church under the late Rev. James Matthews then moved her membership to Morning Star Baptist Church under the late Dr. M.K. Nelson. She later joined Word and Worship in January 2006 under Bishop Jeffery Stallworth where she remained a faithful member until our Father called her home. There she worked in the finance office and was a member of the choir. Charlotte was a dedicated worker holding General Manager position at McDonald's, Sonics and Burger King. Charlotte was united in Holy matrimony to the love of her life, Mr. Lawrence Charles Taylor, on October 24, 1981. To this union one son was born, the love of their lives, Jeremy R. Taylor. Charlotte was called home on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 2:05 p.m. with her husband and son by her side at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Charlotte leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband of 32 years, Mr. Lawrence C. Taylor; one son Jeremy R. Taylor; her parents Steve and Alice Mitchell both of Jackson, MS; three sisters Regina Johnson of Richland, MS, Stephanie Mitchell and Alicia Mitchell both of Jackson, MS; one brother Steven D. (Dona) Mitchell of Brandon, MS; Father-in-law, Sharkey Willie B. Fisher of Utica, MS; five brothers-in-law David Taylor and Rev. Dr. Casey (Michelle) Fisher both of Vicksburg, MS, Thomas Taylor and Kerry Lynn Taylor both of Utica, MS and Sharkey Wendell (Toni) Fisher of Bovina, MS; one sister-in-law Jennifer (Marshall) Banks of Vicksburg MS and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Charlotte held a special place in her heart for her step-son Shawn Lyons and her niece/ God Child Chelsea Mitchell. Her mother-in-law, Katie Mae Fisher preceded her in death.
